PSU leader wins first-ever tech champion award

The leader of the Portland State University Business Accelerator has won the first-ever tech champion award from the Technology Association of Oregon.

Angela Jackson, co-founder and managing director of the PSU Business Accelerator, was recognized for her positive impact in the tech and startup sectors throughout Oregon. Jackson also serves as co-director of the Portland Seed Fund which has created more than 1,000 high wage jobs in Oregon.

“I’m thrilled to be honored with the Tech Champion Award,” said Jackson. “Oregon’s startup and technology communities are vibrant, and I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to play a role in building their future.” 

The PSU Business Accelerator is a tech incubator that houses 20 promising technology and science startups in shared office and lab space. The program offers a menu of services designed with the fast-growing startup's needs in mind.

Jackson will be recognized at the Oregon Technology Awards ceremony on May 10.
