Princeton Review lists Portland State one of the top schools in the country and the West

Four PSU students on campus

Portland State University was included in The Princeton Review’s list of the 127 best Western colleges and one of the best 385 colleges in the nation in its annual rankings list, which were announced this week.

The colleges were chosen based on a combination of school-reported data and student opinions collected through surveys completed last year. The colleges are not given a numerical ranking.

Students surveyed by The Princeton Review cited PSU as having a strong focus on civic engagement and sustainability. They said PSU provides a great learning environment in the heart of the city and a “good value for your tuition dollars.” They also called it a “green-minded urban school that is training students to be good community members.”

Last year, The Princeton Review ranked PSU No. 37 in The Princeton Review’s list of “Top 50 Green Colleges” in the United States in honor of its “superb sustainability practices, strong foundation in sustainability education and a healthy quality of life for students on campus.”

Headquartered in New York City, The Princeton Review is a college admission services company offering test preparation services, tutoring and admissions resources, online courses, and books. It publishes annual rankings of colleges and universities throughout the United States.
