Portland State Graduate Programs receive high rankings by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report released the 2023 Best Graduate Schools rankings and once again several Portland State University programs received top rankings.

The College of Urban and Public Affairs' Hatfield School of Government was ranked No. 49 out of 267 public affairs schools overall, and several CUPA programs earned the No. 1 in Oregon spot. Local Government Management ranked No. 17, Urban Policy at No. 10 and Non-Profit Management ranked No. 24.

The OHSU-PSU School of Public Health’s graduate program also received a ranking of 50 out of 196 schools of public health, also ranked at the No. 1 Public Health program in Oregon.

The School of Social Work also continued to receive high rankings with No. 36 of 296 graduate schools and No. 1 in Oregon.

Rankings are based on assessments by peers and recruiters, as well as expert opinions that consider the quality of a school’s faculty, students and research.
