2019 Commencement Guide

The time has arrived! This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Class of 2019 will receive their degrees in six different ceremonies over three days.

Here's your guide to commencement weekend.

Bachelor’s degrees: 4,380
Master’s degrees: 1,630
Ph.D. degrees: 88

Top majors
Bachelor’s: Business, Psychology, Health Studies, Social Science, Criminology & Criminal Justice
Master’s: Social Work, Education, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science
Ph.D.: Educational Leadership, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Applied Psychology, Social Work and Social Research 

Oldest graduate: 77
Youngest: 17

 

International graduates: 541 from 56 countries, mostly India, China, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Kuwait.

 

Out of state graduates: 1,037 from 47 states – mostly California, Washington, Hawaii and Colorado– plus Washington, D.C., Northern Mariana Islands and Puerto Rico.

Professional schools and colleges ceremony, 10 a.m.

• College of Urban & Public Affairs
• Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science
• OHSU-PSU School of Public Health
• School of Social Work

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences ceremony 3:30 p.m.
Both ceremonies will be held at the Moda Center at the Rose Garden.

Tickets
No tickets are required for Friday’s ceremony. Refer to the College of Education commencement page.

For Saturday and Sunday, graduating students who have registered for commencement are entitled to four free guest tickets, and additional tickets are available for $9 each. However, some ceremonies are at or near capacity. For ticket information, go to the PSU Box Office online or at call 503-725-3307.  

Coverage
Commencement at the Moda Center on Sunday, June 16, will be live streamed on the day of the event at pdx.edu. Send friends and family to the homepage to watch the ceremony! The link is only active on the day of commencement. Go to pdx.edu after the final ceremony on Sunday to see photos and videos of the Class of 2019.
