George Gershwin: 125th Celebration with the Oregon Symphony

Portland State University Chamber Choir joins the Oregon Symphony to celebrate the timeless legacy of beloved American composer George Gershwin. Featuring Gershwin’s inimitable Rhapsody in Blue, selections from Porgy and Bess, and more.

The PSU Choirs, Community Chorus, and guest artists present a mix of classical greats and pop hits, with a community sing, in celebration of “Music in Our Schools” month. This is part of the PSU Social Justice Choirs initiative under the Direction of Coty Raven Morris.

PSU Chamber Choir Hosts the Yale Glee Club

March 11, 2024 - 7:30 PM

PSU Chamber Choir hosts the Yale Glee Club during their U.S. and Canada tour. PSU Chamber Choir will open with a short set, followed by many outstanding performances by the Yale Glee Club, and culminating with moving performances by the combined choirs.

The PSU Chamber Choir performs with the Oregon Symphony. Shrouded in the mystery surrounding the composer’s death, Mozart’s Requiem is a work of comfort that speaks to the resilience of the human spirit. The concert also includes William Grant Still’s Darker America.
