PSU Choirs' 2024-2025 Concert Series "Tapestries"

October 12 & 13, 2024

The Sound of Space — an out-of-this-world concert with a futuristic spin — brings together some of the best sci-fi music ever written for contemporary film. PSU Chamber Choir joins the Oregon Symphony performing music from Interstellar.

Watch Godfrey Reggio’s groundbreaking film Koyaanisqatsi on the big screen while the Philip Glass Ensemble, Oregon Symphony and PSU Chamber Choir perform Philip Glass’ mesmerizing score live! A hypnotic exploration of nature, urbanization and an out-of-balance world.

November 22 & 24, 2024 

Join the PSU Chamber Choir, Thorn Choir and Rose Choir for an evening of music that includes selections from North America, South Amercia, Europe, Afeica and Asia, and is bookended with music by female composers Hidegard von Bingen and Elaine Hagenberg.

Join the PSU University Choirs and Community Choirs for an evening of holiday and seasonal selections sure to evoke your imagination. Our concert includes selections spanning a multitude of cultures that are sure to leave you singing!

February 22 - 25, 2025

PSU Chamber Choir join the Oregon Symphony and Oregon Repertory Singers to sing Mendelssohn's ecstatic hymns of praise in his Second Symphony. The concert unites choir and orchestra in a life-affirming call to "cast off the works of darkness and take up the armor of light."

PSU Chamber Choir, Thorn Choir and Rose Choir present an evening of music that explores how subtle shifts in perspective reveal new worlds of meaning and experience. It features selections from North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

PSU University Choirs and Community Choirs present an evening celebrating the power of collective contributions. The concert includes special guests, the PSU Vocal Collective, plus a community sing with the audience! The smallest acts of love, energy, and time fill the well for all.

Portland State's Rose and Thorn Choirs present their final concert of the year with a variety of musical genres, including songs about identity, evolution, and vision from an array of time periods and genres.
