Christine Meadows served as Director of Opera and Vocal Area Coordinator of the PSU School of Music and Theater from 2006-2020. Since retiring from that position she continues teaching Applied Voice. 

As a performer, Ms. Meadows appeared in concerts and opera throughout the U.S.A. Highlights include two seasons at New York City Opera, performances with the companies of Greater Miami, Houston, Dallas, Syracuse, Tulsa, Indianapolis, Minnesota, Memphis, Louisville, Anchorage, Chattanooga, Virginia, Central City and the Florentine Opera. After returning to the Northwest where she grew up in 1990, Meadows appeared in more than 20 productions with Portland Opera, in addition to performances with Opera Theater Oregon and Eugene Opera.

As a concert soloist Ms. Meadows has sung with the Orchestra of Mallorca, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony, the Pacific Symphony, Colorado Symphony and many others. After returning to the northwest she was a frequent soloist with the Oregon Symphony and has been a soloist with The Third Angle, the Eugene Symphony, the San Diego Symphony, the Victoria Symphony, the Portland and Seattle Baroque Orchestras and many other regional music organizations.

As a licensed Andover Educator, Ms Meadows teaches Body Mapping for Singers. In 2012, Ms. Meadows was honored to receive the Maseeh Award for the Outstanding Fine and Performing Arts Faculty Member and in 2017 she was named as the Vollum Professor of Voice as the second recipient of a Portland Professorship. Her students include singers who have made successful careers as singers and educators. 

Ms. Meadows received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Portland State University as a student of Ruth Dobson and Masters of Music from Indiana University where she was a student of Margaret Harshaw.
