Known for his deep conviction, storytelling, and a heart, Artis’s “spellbinding arrangements and…heartfelt lyrics are simply undeniable” (thepopbreak.com). The concert will also feature “Homage to the Dream” by Mark Camphouse, a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech, which will be read by College of the Arts Dean Leroy Bynum. The PSU Wind Symphony will close the program with “Of Our New Day Begun,” written by Omar Thomas to honor the nine victims of the 2015 terrorist attack on Mother Emanuel A.M.E.
