About the artist

Heather Watkins is a visual artist whose studio practice includes experimental forms of drawing and printmaking, book arts, installation and sculpture. Her work is rooted in material inquiry and attuned to ways of knowing that are layered. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, and has served as a faculty member at numerous colleges in the United States. She is represented by PDX Contemporary Art in Portland. Her work is held in both private and public collections across the country.
