Nick Cave's abstract, glittering Tondos reflect a childhood fascination with the night sky and constellations. “One particular memory that has stuck with Nick Cave from his childhood is lying on the ground with some of his seven brothers, looking up at the stars on summer nights and trying to make out the constellations. 'It's right there, look!' he recalls exclaiming to his siblings. 'It's that place of innocence where something so mundane can be so transformative.'" - Denver Art Museum
