Conversation with Derrick Adams

JSMA at PSU is excited to present a talk with contemporary artist Derrick Adams moderated by Brennan Scarlett, Founder and President of the Big Yard Foundation, and JSMA at PSU Director Maryanna Ramirez. The talk will take place from 4–5 PM on campus followed by a reception at the museum where Adams’s installation Eye Candy is on view. The exact location of the talk will be updated soon. 

Known for his bright palette and playful themes, Derrick Adams presents joyful depictions of contemporary Black culture. His paintings, prints, sculpture, and installations attract viewers with elements of nostalgia, humor, and leisure.
