Technical Specialties:

Conduct nanomaterials research by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD), plasma enhanced CVD, inductively coupled plasma CVD, and laser ablation techniques to synthesize nanoscaled materials including graphene (wafer size), nanotubes (CNTs), metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, and semiconductor nanowires.  Develop novel techniques using a focused ion beam (FIB) system to fabricate electron nanodevices.   Investigate graphene and CNTs as building blocks for nanoelectronics. Explore various nanostructures including CNTs, metal/metal oxide nanoparticles and their hybrids for biomedical applications.
