Dr ALEX FOSTER

Dr. Alex Foster, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in OHSU's School of Public Health, teaching in the MPH and PhD Epidemiology programs. He also serves as a Pediatrician and Program Director of the MD-MPH training program. After earning his MD and MPH from OHSU in 2008, he completed a Pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in New York. Dr. Foster's research focuses on reducing childhood obesity, innovative drug dosage strategies, and improving outcomes for children with HIV. He collaborates with Hawassa University in Ethiopia on global health research, recently studying treatment failure predictors using advanced diagnostics. As Research Committee Chair at OHSU's Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic, Dr. Foster demonstrates a commitment to enhancing pediatric well-being both locally and globally through clinical practice, research, and education.
