The Office of International Student and Scholar Services charges a J-1 Scholar Program Fee to all scholars at PSU covering the period scholars are on campus. This includes program extensions. The fee helps provide support services, programs and special events for scholars while you are at PSU.
The fee amount is $50 per 3-month period, based on the program dates on your DS-2019.
How much is your total J-1 Scholar Program Fee?
- Find your program dates on your DS-2019, section 3, and count the number of months.
- Calculate your your Program Fee:
3 months or less = $50
6 months or less = $100
9 months or less = $150
12 months or less = $200
and so on. . . .
When do you pay the fee?
You will be charged a $50 fee every three months during your program at PSU starting when you arrive on campus.
How do you pay the J-1 Scholar Program Fee?
There are two ways you can pay the fee:
Check or Cash - You can pay the fee by check drawn from a US bank account or by cash. Checks and cash may be delivered in person at the Cashiers Desk at Fariborz Maseeh Hall, First Floor, 1855 SW Broadway.
Credit Card - You can pay the fee by credit card on your MyPSU account (https://my.pdx.edu). Please note that a credit card service fee will be added to the total.
Login to your MyPSU account.
In the main menu (left menu bar), select "Finances".
On the Finances page, select "Manage Payment Account".
Use payment menus to pay fee.
