Housing Rates 2023-2024
Portland State University offers competitive rates for living in downtown Portland. On-campus housing rates vary depending on community, building, and room type.
Rates include all utilities (electric, water, gas, and wireless internet). Rates are billed at the beginning of each term and each term averages about 3 months. Monthly payment plan available. Furnished units include a bed, desk, desk chair, and dresser for each resident. Unfurnished units do not have furniture.

First Year Experience (FYE) Meal Plan Rates
First year students in the First Year Experience program will select a required meal plan when completing their Housing contract. To change your meal plan type, email us at housing@pdx.edu before the Meal Plan change deadline.

Family 2023-2024 Rates
- Students who are approved to live with a spouse or domestic partner will be billed the double rate for each adult living in the unit.
- If both residents are PSU students eligible for University Housing, they must each submit a Housing Contract and will be billed separately.
- Children and dependent minors may live in the unit at no additional cost.
- Family member paperwork must be filed with the University Housing and Residence Life Office before an assignment can be made.

Payments
Housing costs are billed per term to the student account at the beginning of each academic quarter. Students who receive financial aid will have their award first applied toward their tuition and then toward housing. Students may elect to pay off any remaining balance in full at the beginning of the term or enroll in the PSU Payment Plan.
The PSU Payment Plan allows students the flexibility to pay off their account balance in three monthly installments throughout the term. All payments can be made online via myPSU or paid in person with cash or check at the Cashiers Office. All rates include: electric, water, gas, wireless internet. Full term rates are billed at the beginning of each term. When monthly costs are shown, they are intended to help compare options.
