Joji KappesI am a retired physician serving on the Friends of History Board since 2015. Supporting the History Department at Portland State University is rewarding to me and others in many ways. We learn from fantastic faculty teaching fascinating history courses that welcome senior auditors. We engage with enthusiastic history major students, and invited guest scholars from near and far speaking on topics both esoteric and accessible.
We want all to thrive and prosper in the pursuit of history: its discovery and rediscovery plus its interpretations and analyses. Fiat lux. I hope the Friends will continue its mission. You are welcome to join if not yet a member.
