The Dodds-Edward Civil War Round Table (DECWRT) has been meeting for over a decade with the express purpose of promoting a positive learning environment for those interested in Civil War studies.
Topics at the meetings have ranged from the Supreme Courts rulings on President Abraham Lincoln’s actions during the war years, to the role played by the all-important Civil War campstool. All topics in between are open to presentation and discussion. The premier annual event is the February presentation by one of the DECWRT’s founding fathers, PSU Professor emeritus Thomas Edwards, PhD.
Once a month it is an opportunity to explore different aspects of Civil War history and meet people from around our area who share your interests. Meeting usually last an hour and a half with ample time to make new friends and have a little one-on-one time with the speaker. Everyone is welcome to attend these events, at no charge. Voting membership in the DECWRT is $10 per person ($20 per couple), per year, due each year at the January meeting.
