  1. Jola Ajibade, geography faculty, gave a talk titled “Climate Adaptation, Greening, Resilience Planning in Coastal cities: A Research Agenda on Just Transformations” April 6 at the University of Miami.
  2. Jola Ajibade, geography faculty, was a keynote speaker on “Managed Retreat Forum: Global Lessons for Success” organized by University of California Davis, Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnerships and the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine on April 8. 
  3. Jola Ajibade, geography faculty, gave an invited talk titled “The Resilience Fix to Climate Disasters: Recursive Relations with Equity and Justice-Based Transformations in the Global South," at the RISE Seminar Series at the University of Colorado on April 11. 
  4. Shirley A. Jackson, sociology faculty, gave a talk hosted by the PSU Sociology Club titled “Black Women in White Spaces.”
  5. Shirley A. Jackson, sociology faculty, designed and led a class on individual and institutional racism for Cedar Hills United Church of Christ.
  6. Shirley A. Jackson, sociology faculty, was an invited speaker on the topic of Black women and space for Oregon Health Authority’s Black African and African American Employee Resources Group. 
  7. Shirley A. Jackson, sociology faculty, was an invited panelist, for “Author Meets Critics: Jessie Daniels’ ‘Nice White Ladies: The Truth about White Supremacy, Our Role in It, and How We Can Help Dismantle It’” at the Eastern Sociological Society annual meeting on March 12.
  8. Alex Ruzicka and Richard Hugo, geology faculty, gave an oral presentation titled, “Model Deformation Temperatures Derived from Ebsd Data for Olivine in Type 6 Ordinary Chondrites and Ureilites” at the 53rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in The Woodlands, Texas, in March. 
  9. Alex Ruzicka, geology faculty, and James Frye, graduate student, presented a poster titled “Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) Analysis of Ureilites Northwest Africa 11993, 12433, 7630 and 7304: Clues to Petrogenesis from Deformation-thermal Parameters and Rock Fabrics” at the 53rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in The Woodlands, Texas, in March. 
  10. Alex Ruzicka and Melinda Hutson, geology faculty, and Daniel Sheikh, graduate student, presented a poster titled “Northwest Africa 14446: A Unique Lunar Dimict Breccia Composed of Distinct Feldspathic Crystalline Melt Breccia Lithologies” at the 53rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in The Woodlands, Texas, in March.
