  1. Scott Burns, Geology faculty emeritus, presented "Teaching more applied geology courses in geology departments to prepare students for non-academic positions" on Sep. 22-25 at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America in Anaheim, California.
  2. Scott Burns, Professor Emeritus of Geology, gave an invited speech about the Missoula Floods at a virtual international symposium by the Australian Water School on "Megafloods Around the World.”
  3. Liubomir Chiriac, Mathematics faculty, gave a colloquium talk titled "Exploring modular forms through insights from Hecke operators” on Sep. 23 at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Illinois.  
  4. Jungmin Kwon, Film faculty, gave an invited talk titled "K(Q)ueer-pop: Queer (In)Visibility in Korean Popular Culture" on Sep. 11 for AsiaPOP! The Korean Wave, organized by the University of Idaho’s Habib Institute for Asian Studies.
  5. Madhu Narayanan, Educational Leadership and Policy faculty, presented “Cracked mirrors or open doors? Curriculum, Race, and Nationality in the Dominican Republic” on Jun. 24 at the XVIII World Congress of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES), Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
  6. Jenn Hollandsworth Reed, Public Health, presented "Focusing on officer mental health through the lens of public health" on Sep. 11 at the National Institute of Justice 2024 National Research Conference in Pittsburgh.
