Scholarship application for 2025 - 26 is OPEN!
Apply for all School of Film and university-wide scholarships through the PSU Scholarship Universe portal.
Scholarship Universe is open until midnight on April 1, 2025. Do not wait until the last minute to apply. Per the School of Film Student Handbook, requests for letters of recommendation should be made to faculty 3 weeks prior to the deadline.
For 2025 - 26 academic year, there are four scholarships designated for Film majors only. Film majors may be eligible for additional university and College of the Arts scholarships.
LAIKA Scholarship
Open to all College of the Arts majors: six awards of $10,000. The LAIKA Scholarship supports undergraduate students in the College of the Arts. Applicants should demonstrate academic and/or career interest in the creative industry. Preference is given to students with diverse and/or underrepresented experiences in the creative industry. Eligible students may reapply annually.
Lois and Oscar Mock Endowed Scholarship
One award is given to a Film major in good standing of junior or senior status with a 3.0 GPA and a 3.5 GPA in the major.
Wilma and Robert Sheridan Endowed Scholarship
One award of $1,000 is given to a full-time, returning student (attended PSU for at least one year) of junior or senior status with a 3.0 GPA and a 3.5 GPA in the major.
Evelyn Crowell Endowed Theater and Film Scholarship
One award of $2,000 is given to a Film major of junior or senior status with a 3.25 GPA and a 3.5 GPA in the major.

**Please note that these awards are for the 2025 - 26 academic year, so students graduating before fall 2025 are not eligible to receive 2025 - 26 scholarships.**
