Affiliate Faculty and Senior Advisor on Infrastructure Resilience and Risk
Yumei Wang is a specialist in preparing communities for Cascadia earthquakes and tsunamis. Her expertise is focused on disaster resilience of civic infrastructure and lifeline systems, including schools, hospitals, and the energy sector. Due to her post-earthquake investigation experiences surrounding heavily impacted areas, she has created solutions to challenging societal problems, such as co-initiating holistic governmental programs that improve student safety in older, high risk schools across the State of Oregon.
