Associate Professor, CEE & ESM

Dr. Bill Fish has conducted water-quality research and education for over 35 years. His interests include the chemistry of toxic metals and their interaction in surface waters, soils, sediments and groundwater. He has also conducted research modeling persistent hydrophobic pollutants and the use of these models in risk assessments.

His other areas of research have included stormwater management and advanced wastewater treatment, particularly innovative biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal from wastewater. He has taught courses on the fate and transport of toxic materials, water and wastewater treatment, water chemistry modeling, environmental cleanup, and environmental physics.
