Dr. Virginia Butler is an archaeologist with over 40 years of experience working in western North America. Her main scholarship focuses on animal bones from archaeological sites, which she studies to build long-term histories of human-animal connections and records of past environments. She is also interested in broadly linking the public with archaeology, science, and heritage.
