Scott Robison, Ph.D., is an accomplished leader in digital learning and instructional development, currently serving as the director of digital learning and design at Portland State.

With over 20 years of experience in higher education, Robison specializes in developing and implementing instructional design and pedagogical practices that foster engaging and accessible learning opportunities. His career reflects a deep commitment to the principle that education should be accessible to all, and how open education efforts can play a vital role in breaking down barriers to learning and ensuring equitable learning experiences. This philosophical foundation guides his work in creating innovative and flexible models of instruction for diverse populations.

Before joining Portland State, Robison was director of distance education and online resources at Ohio University, director of learning technologies and online education at Plymouth State University and co-director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Plymouth State University.
