Professor Joshua Eastin’s research addresses the causes and consequences of economic underdevelopment, with emphasis on issues such as political violence, food security, climate change, gender equality, and trade. He has conducted extensive fieldwork and surveys in the Philippines, where he also served as a visiting research fellow at the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
