David Peterson del Mar heads up a non-profit that links schools in the Pacific Northwest and Ghana to promote empathy. He teaches a Freshman Inquiry class on Immigration, Migration, and Meaning as well as a survey of the U.S. family, and his seven books include a history of the U.S. family and American views of Africa.
