Dr. Dacian Daescu's expertise is on data assimilation methods for optimal parameter estimation and improved model predictive capabilities, sensitivity analysis, and uncertainty quantification for large-scale dynamical systems. He has been awarded several research grants by NASA, the Navy, and NSF as principal investigator on projects focused on applications to weather prediction, air pollution modeling, and air quality forecasting.
