PSU Textile Arts presents Bekah Hilleson

Bekah Hilleson is an Art Director and Concept Designer based in Portland, OR. Using curiosity as a catalyst, Bekah applies insights and her love of history to all areas of design. Whether creating print collections for Nike or high-level design concepts for Crocs, Bekah seeks to celebrate and cultivate the creative process, creating an inclusive and empathetic environment to fuel collaborative art.

The Textile Arts program at Portland State provides a critical investigation of clothing and textiles with a focus on craft, sustainability, and community engagement. Students learn techniques in weaving, surface design, and sewn construction for costume, fashion, and contemporary art. The curriculum immerses students in the conceptual, interdisciplinary, and experimental possibilities of fiber and material processes.
