Calendar In this short study abroad course, we’ll explore the challenges and opportunities of this super-aging society in urban (Tokyo) and rural (Akita) contexts. We’ll explore the structural and informal supports that older people rely on in Japan, such as LTCI and community-based services. We’ll work alongside rural community residents in Akita prefecture, conducting hands-on work to support aging and depopulating community challenges.
