PSU Center for Entrepreneurship Welcomes New Assistant Director Stacey Hoshimiya

Stacey Hoshimiya

At the Center for Entrepreneurship, we are committed to building a community of staff, mentors, and partners that reflect the communities and students we serve to create a more inclusive environment where everyone is welcome. Through this commitment, we’ve ensured to incorporate it within our hiring process to find the best talent possible.

The Center for Entrepreneurship is excited to introduce new Assistant Director, Stacey Hoshimiya. In her new role, she will actively engage with students throughout our various programs, including Kickstart Weekend, The Cube, Cleantech Challenge, and Invent Oregon, to help them see themselves as entrepreneurs and innovators.

As an entrepreneur, she relates to the experiences many of our students go through. Her career spans over twenty years and takes a deep dive into the various aspects of entrepreneurship. Embodying a grassroots, do-it-yourself perspective that allows oneself to grow, learn, and build something unique.

Her journey began in the early 2000s as a hustling artist. On the side, she worked as a Shop Manager for an art & design school as she grew her client list, honed her skill set, and consulted several other small businesses on brand identity, sustainable business practices, and more. She eventually served in the Peace Corps Morocco Small Business Development Program.

The years that followed would be filled with adventures across the world. Having visited multiple countries, including Italy, India, and Morocco, Stacey has immersed herself in different cultures and worked on various projects. Some examples include teaching yoga in India & Italy, business consulting in Italy, and cultural tours for study-abroad students in Morocco.

Now that she has returned to the States, she has begun to explore avenues for supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators through her assistant director role at the Center for Entrepreneurship.

We are thrilled to have Stacey Hoshimiya join the Center for Entrepreneurship as the Assistant Director. Her breadth of experience encompassing multiple facets of entrepreneurship and her background in English, creating writing, and education will play a vital role in supporting our students as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Welcome aboard Stacey!
