Wu-chi Feng named Interim Dean of Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science

Wu-chi Feng, has been named Interim Dean of PSU’s Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science following the departure of the H. Chik M. Erzurumlu Dean of the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science Richard Corsi on Sept. 3. 

Feng, the Associate Dean for Research at MCECS, has been in PSU’s Department of Computer Science since 2004. He served as chair of the department from 2007-2010 and again from 2016-2019. 

“Wu-chi is committed to supporting the directions to which the Maseeh College has committed during Rich's leadership, and I am thrilled that he is willing to serve the College and the University in this role,” said PSU Provost Susan Jeffords. “I very much look forward to working with him over the next year.” 

Before joining PSU in 2004, Feng was an Associate Professor at the OGI School of Science and Engineering at OHSU and an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University. 

He has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan in Computer Science and Engineering and B.S. degree from the Pennsylvania State University in Computer Engineering.

Corsi is leaving PSU to take on the role of the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of California Davis, where he received his doctoral degree. 

Provost Jeffords said the search for a new dean for MCECS will begin as soon as possible.
