Career Services

The Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science is uniquely positioned to provide students with unparalleled career support, thanks to its proximity to a thriving ecosystem of regional industries. Our urban campus fosters direct connections with local companies, offering students access to internships, networking events, and real-world learning experiences. These opportunities empower students with the skills and connections needed to stand out in today’s competitive job market. Employers from Portland, across the country, and around the globe actively recruit and hire Maseeh graduates, recognizing the caliber of talent and preparation our students bring to the workforce.

Frank Goovaerts, Director of Student Career Success

Frank Goovaerts graduated from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium and the University of Cincinnati with engineering degrees in Electro-Mechanical and Mechanical Engineering.  Prior to joining Maseeh College in January 2012, he was Director of Engineering at Tektronix.

At Maseeh College, Frank spearheads career support initiatives designed to bridge the gap between education and employment. He oversees flagship programs like the Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP) and Engineering Work Experience (EWX), both of which provide students with valuable hands-on industry experience. Frank also manages the Maseeh College Job Board, connecting local companies with talented PSU students and graduates. Additionally, he organizes career events throughout the year, creating opportunities for students to engage with industry leaders and gain insights into their fields of interest.

In his free time, Frank enjoys exploring the great outdoors. To connect with Frank, you can email him  or schedule an appointment (virtual or in person).
