  1. Robert Asaadi, political science, was interviewed about U.S.-Iran relations for “Scope with Waqar Rizvi” from Indus News, an English language broadcaster based in Pakistan.
  2. Alida Cantor, geography faculty, was featured in the article “What We’re Talking About When We Talk About Drought” by OPB.
  3. Jenny Ceciliano and Lisa Notman, world languages and literatures, received OER Champion awards from Open Oregon Educational Resources in the areas of Open Pedagogy, Equity and Social Justice for their Beginning Spanish OER textbook “¡Empecemos por aquí!”
  4. Scott DuHadway, business faculty, has been appointed as an associate editor for Journal of Operations Management (JOM). JOM is one of the leading journals in the ISI Operations Research and Management Science category. JOM’s mission is to publish original, empirical, operations and supply chain management research that demonstrates both academic and practical relevance.
  5. Óscar Fernández, university studies, was creator and facilitator for “Crafting Review Narratives by Focusing on Values (Personal & Institutional): A 45-Min Writing Workshop,” hosted by the University Studie's Promotion & Tenure Committee on May 14 via Zoom. 
  6. John Nimmo, curriculum and instruction faculty, received the New York International Film Awards’ Best Social Justice Film, the Istanbul Film Awards’ Best Educational Feature Film and Best Social Justice Feature Film, and Toronto International Women Film Festival’s Official Selection and Best Short Documentary awards for his co-produced film, “Reflecting on Anti-Bias Education in Action: The Early Years.”
