The College of Education offers various K-12 endorsement programs in reading, special education, math, science, and more to meet the requirements for Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC). Adding an endorsement or specialization opens doors to new opportunities in schools, can come with a pay increase, and strengthens your practice as a teacher.

Add a subject-area endorsement to your existing Oregon Teaching license if you are a graduate of a PSU College of Education teacher licensure program. Students can add subject area endorsements in: Advanced Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, English Language Arts, Foundational Mathematics, Foundational Science, Foundational Social Studies, Integrated Science, Music, Physics, Social Studies, World Language: Chinese, World Language: French, World Language: German, and World Language: Spanish World Language: Russian, World Language: Japanese.
Bring inclusion to your own classroom and create a space where all students can learn and thrive; blend evidence-based research with creative classroom practices; and expand your opportunities to work with students ages 3–21 who have a range of support needs. This program can culminate in a master’s degree with additional credits.
PSU’s program equips you to serve students from birth to 21 years old with visual impairments. You’ll learn to assist students with visual impairments to fully access the general education curriculum and gain practical experience through field placements in local educational agencies or at residential schools for the blind.
The program is designed both for new teachers seeking a preliminary teaching license with a Special Education: Early Intervention endorsement, and licensed teachers who want to add an early intervention endorsement or special education master’s degree.
The certification of completion program is for teachers, teacher leaders, and coaches who are seeking a deeper understanding of the mathematics they teach and the ambitious and equitable instructional practices shown to make a difference in mathematics learning. Courses can be used toward the Mathematics Instructional Leader Specialization.
