Portland State University announced the appointment of Eric Noll to serve as the Director of Regional Government Relations and Policy.

Noll was chosen for his extensive experience in local and state government relations and his experience as a former Graduate Assistant with PSU’s Board of Trustees and Office of Government Relations.

“We are thrilled to have Eric at Portland State in this exciting new role. He will elevate our presence with the City of Portland, Metro, and with other local policy makers,” said Kimberly Koops, Associate Vice President of Government Relations.

“I’m honored to serve PSU in this new role. As a former ASPSU president, PSU is my home, and I’m looking forward to bringing my expertise in local government relations to the institution - consistent with President Cudd’s city engagement priorities and PSU’s motto: Let Knowledge Serve the City," said Noll.

Noll currently serves as the interim Director of Government Relations at PSU. Previously, he provided project management for several important projects at PSU. Before coming to PSU, Noll was the lead state lobbyist for the City of Portland, where he secured critical infrastructure investments, led the City’s state legislative agenda, and served as the City’s main point of contact for state leaders.

“I am incredibly proud that Eric has chosen to join our team,” said Dr. Sheila Martin, Vice President of Public Affairs and Chief of Staff. “As we build stronger relationships with the City of Portland, I look forward to seeing everything that Eric will help us accomplish to serve students and the institution.”

Noll began his new role on March 26.
