Every week during the academic year, Currently celebrates faculty and staff accomplishments, including appearances on panels, presentations, recent publications or performances, and research grants.
- Óscar Fernández, university studies faculty, created and facilitated a remote workshop titled “Best Practices in Interpreting in the LGBTQI Community” for the Oregon Health Care Interpreter Association (OHCIA), on Oct. 3.
- Yu Wang, co-director of Confucius Institute at Portland State University (CIPSU), co-presented the fifth global “One Hundred Translators” contest. CIPSU co-organized the contest in collaboration with the Confucius Institute at the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica.
