Celebrating differences

Emily Dinh ‘24 is receiving her bachelor's of science in accounting as an international student from Vietnam. Dinh served as a cultural ambassador, while learning about herself as a PSU student.

Sherri Vogt

Passion for service

Sherri Vogt '24 has spent the last few decades working as a early childhood service provider, but she was always looking for opportunities to grow. Then she found PSU's Early Childhood Intervention in Special Education program.

Kobe Norcross

Coding his future

Kobe Norcross ‘24 knew he wanted to a future in coding or computer science, but didn't know the path to get there. After studying at PCC, Kobe found a way forward at PSU. He eventually earned an internship at Microsoft that cemented his future.


2024 Honorary Degree Recipients

Portland State University awards honorary degrees to acknowledge individuals who have achieved outstanding scholarship or artistic accomplishments or performed distinguished public service during their lifetime. This year we're proud to award honorary degrees to Alando Simpson, esperanza spalding and Sky Hopinka.
