What is VMock?

VMock is an online platform that leverages AI to help students create powerful resumes, customize their resumes based on a specific job description, and practice interviewing while getting immediate feedback. 

Go to www.vmock.com/pdx and register using your PSU email. Short tutorial videos are built into the system. VMock is only available to students in the School of Business.

  • Get personalized feedback and guidance to create or improve your resume. 
  • Just upload a PDF of your resume or create a new one in the platform using one of the approved templates. 
  • You'll get a score and specific feedback within seconds.
  • With the SMART Editor, continue working on your resume with the help of AI before downloading the polished version. 

RESUME OPTIMIZATION

  • Paste a job description into the platform and get immediate feedback on how to tailor your resume to that particular job description. 
  • VMock will highlight keywords and skills to consider including on your resume. 
  • Customizing your resume for each application increases the likelihood of being invited to an interview. 

VIDEO MOCK INTERVIEWS

  • Practice your interviewing skills and get immediate AI feedback. 
  • Pick Common Interview Questions under the Questions by Community tab, or choose a set of career-specific questions under the Career Preferences tab. 
  • You can even practice your elevator pitch!
  • Utilize the SMART interview function by uploading a job description and VMock will created a list of questions based on that particular description.
