Currently Accolades: Published/Exhibited for September 28, 2020

Every week during the academic year, Currently celebrates faculty and staff accomplishments, including appearances on panels, presentations, recent publications or performances, and research grants.

  1. Celine Fitzmaurice, university studies, published a card deck titled “All Together Now: Participatory Techniques for Community Engaged Teaching and Learning.”
  2. Stan Heister and Kristi Yuthas, business faculty, published “Blockchain Systems and Their Potential Impact on Business Processes” in the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management.
  3. Marie Lo, English faculty, published “Handcrafting Whiteness: Booker T. Washington and the Subject of Contemporary Craft” in ASAP/Journal, the official journal of the Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present.
  4. Jack Straton, physics and university studies faculty, had one of his photographs chosen to be part of 311 Gallery ABSTRACTS MATTER Juried Show 202 in Raleigh, North Carolina from March 5 through March 28.
  5. Keith Walters, applied linguistics faculty emeritus, co-edited “The Routledge Handbook of Arabic and Identity” with Reem Bassioune of the American University of Cairo, which was published by Routledge. The third edition of “Everyone’s an Author,” which Walter co-authored, was also released last month by W.W.  Norton &. Co.
