Program-Specific Scholarships

This scholarship is for Master of Science in Finance and The Portland MBA students sitting for the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Institute exam. As a certified partner of the CFA Institute, Portland State finance faculty are able to award 14 scholarships each year, valued at $1,400 each, to defray the cost of enrolling in the CFA Program. Scholarship recipients shall pay only $350 of the total fees. To apply for the PSU-CFA Scholarship, students must be admitted to one of our graduate programs and complete the application by:

• October 6 for December and February CFA level 1 exams
• January 12 for the May and August CFA level 1 exams

To apply, eligible students must submit the following documents electronically:

1. A copy of your most updated resume. In the reference section of your resume, provide a name of a finance faculty member at PSU who can attest to your academic ability. Make sure to inform the faculty member first.
2. A copy of your most recent academic transcript from PSU.

Students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Master of  Science in Real Estate are eligible for additional scholarships through the Center for Real Estate. To apply, students must submit an application through Scholarship Universe (due February 1) and answer the MSRE essay question to be considered for scholarships.
