Art + Social Practice MFA student Laura Glazer was recently featured on the New York Public Library's blog in a Researcher Spotlight interview. On a trip to New York, Laura stopped by the library and introduced herself to the librarians and expressed an interest in doing a guest takeover of their Picture Collection Instagram account. In June of 2019 she did just that, featuring a selection of images from the library's Digital Collections.

Laura Glazer is an artist exploring diverse subjects through publishing, curating, broadcasting, and participatory and collaborative project structures. Her socially engaged practice is responsive to people and places and she conducts research to inform site-specific public artworks and publications. She’s currently hosting Book Looking, a video and newsletter series exploring publishing as an artistic practice. She holds a BFA in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology and is an MFA candidate in Art and Social Practice at Portland State University.
