William Herbert Holt — BA in Art History

Recent Art History program grad William Herbert Holt III is now Exhibit and Community Outreach Manager for Textile Hive. Here’s an excerpt from Textile Hive’s September newsletter:

“William's journey with Textile Hive began serendipitously in 2022 as a chance encounter with our co-founder Caleb during Portland TextileX Month led to their involvement as a festival producer in 2023. Now, William brings their expertise to assist in the planning and promotion of upcoming programming at the Archive. You can also find William at the Portland Chinatown Museum, where they recently became the Front Desk Associate!”

William graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Art History from PSU in June 2024. As a freelance art handler and arts administrator, William has worked with local artists, curators, and institutions. Committed to challenging colonialist structures in the art world, they are passionate about supporting fellow artists by building bridges between marginalized communities and art institutions.
