  1. Tina Burdsall, sociology faculty, was elected as American Association of University Professors (AAUP) executive councilor.
  2. Paula Carder, Institute on Aging and OHSU-PSU School of Public Health faculty, was quoted in an episode about long-term care on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) on April 11.
  3. Melanie Chang, anthropology faculty, added expert perspective on human evolution in the upcoming six-part PBS documentary series, “Human: The World Within,” premiering April 28.
  4. Julia Freybote, business faculty, has been elected to the board of American Real Estate Society (ARES) for a five-year term.

  11. Hyeyoung Woo, sociology faculty, served as a session organizer and presider on “Current Issues in Korea and Japan” at the Annual Meetings of Pacific Sociological Association on March 17.
