Eligibility
- Must be an active LSAMP member (Studdents who are not active members are welcomed to apply however must complete the enrollment process upon acceptance of placement).
- LSAMP eligibility: Self-identify as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latine, Native American, Native Hawaiian, Native Alaskan,
Pacific Islander; Declared STEM major; and Undergraduate student who is a permanent resident or U.S. citizen. - No specific class standing requirement.
- No previous research experience is necessary
Cohort Programming
- Prior to Fall Term: Welcome and Orientation
- Fall Term: Series of workshops
- Winter Term: Series of workshops
- Spring Term: Present at the PSU Student Research Symposium and end of year celebration
*Students will be conducting 10 hrs of research per week starting the first week of fall term.
Timeline
