This program significantly enhances the capabilities of engineers and managers who are involved in researching, defining, designing, or developing new products, processes, hardware, software, or services. Students tend to hold technical or managerial positions in product marketing engineering, technology marketing engineering, advanced R&D management, engineering management, software engineering, design engineering, or project management.
Objective: The objective of the program is to prepare engineers and other technical personnel for working in the various areas of new product development.

The program is tailored for the needs of working professionals in diverse technical disciplines and technology marketing roles. Classes are project-based and students benefit from the experience and network of their peers. Instructors involved in this program do research in new product development and have worked with leaders in open innovation and design education. Instructors have diverse industry experience and have included the designer of Apple's Lisa computer under Steve Jobs and the inventor of the USB flash drive.
