Portland State Partners with ODOT to make pedestrian data more accessible
Every time a pedestrian pushes a button to cross the street, it creates a useful data point about how many people are walking through that intersection. Now, transportation planners and engineers in Oregon have easy access to that data thanks to a new PSU partnership.

Turning Pain into Purpose
Roberta Hunte has spent her global career researching structural conflicts — the culture of workplaces, maternal and child healthcare discrimination and inclusion. At Portland State, she works as an associate professor of Child, Youth, & Family Studies.
Still, storytelling has always been at the center of her work.

‘The time to act is always’: PSU celebrates successes of equity plan
In 2020, at the height of a national and local racial reckoning, Portland State students, faculty and staff envisioned what a racially just and equitable PSU would look like in 2025, setting the stage for an ambitious three-year action plan. Fast forward, and there is much to be proud of.
