Minor in Community Development

Students can also receive a minor in Community Development by completing the following courses:

  • UNST 220 Understanding Communities (4 credits);
    (An upper division Urban Studies and Planning course may be substituted for UNST 220 if appropriate given student status.)
  • USP 301 Theory and Philosophy of Community Development (4 credits);
  • USP 311 Introduction to Urban Planning (4 credits);
  • And four additional Urban Studies and Planning courses, chosen with the advice and approval of the School.

Students must complete 27 credits to earn the minor. Courses taken on a pass/no pass basis will not be counted toward meeting the requirements for a minor.
