New Initiatives

This website is part of an initiative to improve the design and integration of all Portland State websites. The university is demonstrating its strong committment to this effort by:

  • Establishing a new team to take responsibility for the overall university website and general web technologies and strategy. Led by the Director for Web Communications and located in the Office of University Communications, this team works closely with the Office of Information Technologies to enable close integration with the university's larger marketing, communications and technology goals.
  • Forming a Web Advisory Council (WebAC) that will review plans and recommend strategy for web communications at Portland State. WebAC includes members representing all of university schools, colleges, and major administrative departments.
  • Forming a Web Development Users Group (WebDUG) to support the people at Portland State who actively work on university websites and serve as the core group for efforts to improve the design and integration of official websites.
  • Investing to centrally develop and support web communications tools like Portland State's Saga Web Content Management System.
