Welcome to Portland Middle Schools
Educational Talent Search is an educational access and retention program sponsored by Portland State University, and funded by an Educational Talent Search grant from U.S. Dept. of Education.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to identify, motivate, and assist 11 through 27-year-old students in their educational transitions. We assist and encourage students to stay in school and graduate, and enroll in community college, university or technical training programs.

Eligibility
You can participate in ETS if you:
- Are at least 11 years old and in the sixth grade
- Qualify within the income eligibility requirements
- Parents or guardians did not graduate from college
- Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Attend one of the following targeted schools
- Jason Lee K-8
- Lane Middle School
- Boise Eliot K-8
- George Middle School
- Harriet Tubman Leadership Academy for Young Women
- Poynter Middle School (Hillsboro)
- South Meadows (Hillsboro)
