Advising Information for Transfer Students

Welcome, prospective transfer students! 

Advisers in the Undergraduate Advising & Support Center (UASC) can assist students planning to transfer to PSU with:

• academic planning
• understanding University requirements
• referrals to academic departments

Note: Transfer students can also seek advising from the majors or programs in which they are interested. Click here for information on major specific advising.

Our office collaborates with the Campus Visit Programs office to offer prospective transfer students opportunities to learn more about Portland State. If you are considering transferring to PSU, you should attend one of the events listed below to gather information to help you make a well-informed decision about attending PSU.

Transfer Information Session/Campus Tour

The Campus Visit Programs office offers an information session and campus tour specifically for transfer students on a weekly basis when classes are in session (no Information Session the first week of each quarter). The Information Session is co-presented by an Admissions Counselor and Academic Adviser and the tour is given by a current PSU student. Transfer Open House

PSU hosts open houses designed to answer your questions about the transfer process, admissions deadlines, financial aid and scholarships, course articulation and degree programs. Dates of upcoming events, and registration forms are available on the Transfer Open House page.
